Flying with firearms — TSA and airline requirementsUpdated 4 days ago

Condition 1 hard cases are designed to meet TSA requirements for transporting firearms as checked baggage.

TSA requirements

  • The firearm must be unloaded.
  • The firearm must be in a hard-sided, locked container.
  • The firearm must be declared to the airline at check-in. The agent will provide a declaration tag to place inside the case.

Do Condition 1 cases meet these requirements?

Yes. All Condition 1 hard cases are hard-sided and include lock holes that accept standard combination locks or padlocks, meeting TSA requirements for checked firearm transport.

Airline-specific policies

Airlines may have additional requirements beyond TSA rules, including weight limits and case size restrictions. Check with your specific airline before traveling.
